Bellydance + Musicality Summer Intensive 2019
Khepri Productions Summer Intensive is right around the corner! Designed as a mixed level intensive, our curriculum is rooted in foundational training. Beginning level dancers will have the opportunity to learn in a thoughtful and safe environment and intermediate/advanced dancers will get the time they need to revisit and refine their foundations.
Each year there is a different foundational focus of the intensive, this year our focus will be musicality.
Mornings are spent with Andrea Sendek working on bellydance technique, drills, movement combinations and improvisational exercises that help integrate the previous afternoon’s musical training into our bellydance practice.
Afternoons are spent with our guest instructors learning musical basics for dancers, topics include: Drum rhythms for dancers, maqam, song structure, song genre/origins, taqasim, and much more.
After 4 days immersed in the Bellydance + Musicality Summer Intensive, your dance will be rooted in the music and soar with powerful technique!
